RBA – Rule of Law Day 2016

October 19, 2016 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

Volunteers are needed to present the

 Rule of Law Project

in the Civics classes of all the Roanoke Valley’s Middle Schools. If you have presented the Rule of Law Project before, you know that it is a worthwhile and often eye-opening experience.

Rule of Law Day in Roanoke City’s Public Middle Schools will be October 19 (and also October 18 at Lucy Addison Magnet School, which has A/B day scheduling) with 53 classes needing presenters.

Rule of Law Day in Andrew Lewis Middle School in Salem will be November 11, with 12 classes needing volunteers.

Registration for Rule of Law Day in Roanoke County on October 27 will begin as soon as we have the class schedules from the district office.

We need at least one volunteer per class.  Volunteers who wish to team up may do so — Just have one volunteer sign-up and then include the name of the teaching partners in the space provided on the registration form.

We are using a new registration system this year, so you will need to create a new logon. We have added additional training dates for the Rule of Law Project on October 14 and October 21.There are lots of new materials available on the Center for Teaching the Rule of Law website also.

More information is available at SRCBA .
