RBA Bench Bar Conference February 24, 2017
The annual Bench Bar Conference was held on February 24 at the Higher Education Center. Christen Church, Chairman of the Young Lawyers Committee, organized the event. Lauren Davis, of Frith & Ellerman Law Firm, PC, served as moderator. Professor James Moliterno, Vincent Bradford Professor of Law at Washington & Lee University School of Law, presented a one hour CLE on the topic of “Implicit Bias and the Work of Lawyers and Judges.”. The State of the Judiciary addresses were presented by judges from the various courts, followed by an open forum discussion. Thank you to Monica Guilliams, Betty Moorman-Sweat, and Jenny Carnes from the RVLSA for assisting with this event.
