You and the Law: Legal and Social Tools for Assisting Survivors of Violence
On May 9, 2019 the Roanoke Law Foundation presented a program that included the following:
- Overview of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)
- Panel Discussion of the Legal and Social Tools for Assisting Survivors of Violence
Participants included two judges and representatives from the Legal Aid Society of Roanoke Valley, TAP, a licensed professional counselor and a manager from the Salvation Army Turning Point.
