Michael Gamble (Ret.) and Honorable Larry B. Kirksey (Ret.) from The McCammon Group discuss the ethical Rules\, principles\, and practices involved as lawyers negotiate in mediation as well as in the other areas of their practices. Drawing from the Virginia Rules of Professional Conduct and the ABA Model Rules\, the topics addressed will include: competence\, honesty\, the role of the client in making decisions\, communicating with the client\, communicating with those affiliated with opposing parties\, and threats of criminal sanctions to gain leverage.  Hypotheticals will be used to illustrate. This program will be presented virtually.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe McCammon Group will be providing the registration for this program. Registration is now closed.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Cost:\n\n\nNo Charge for RBA members. Registration is required.
