DESCRIPTION:Date/Time:\n\n\nThursday\, February 13\, 2025\, 10:00 am – noon.\nThe seminar will be presented virtually.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Program:\n\n\nProgram is from 10:00 am to noon.\n\n\n\n\n\n“To Present or Not to Present: Ethical and Strategic Considerations for the Opening Session in Mediation .” \nTraditionally\, lawyers have presented their cases to opposing parties in the opening session of a mediation. Recently\, some lawyers have chosen to waive this opportunity. As is true of an opening statement at trial\, the presentations in the opening session of a mediation very much impact how the mediation will proceed. Much can be gained by an effective presentation; yet there may be some risk. This course will be presented by the Hon. J. Michael Gamble (Ret.) and the Hon. Michael T. Garrett (Ret.)  from The McCammon Group. This 2-hr CLE provides the ethical and strategic issues that should be considered in deciding “To Present or Not to Present.”\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Cost:\n\n\nThere is no charge for RBA members to attend but registration is required.
