Bernard Goodwyn\, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia. Chief Justice Goodwyn graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia’s School of Law in 1986. Prior to his appointment to the bench\, Goodwyn practiced law at the law firm of Willcox & Savage. On October 10\, 2007\, Goodwyn was appointed to the Supreme Court of Virginia by Governor Tim Kaine. He became chief justice on January 1\, 2022.\nPrior to hearing from our speaker\, there will be a presentation of a Proclamation on the 100th Anniversary of the incorporation of the RBA by Mayor Joe Cobb.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Board Meeting:\n\n\n10:45 a.m. Executive Committee\, 11:00 a.m. Board Meeting\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMemorial Resolution:\n\n\nNone\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeeting Reservations: \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Cost:\n\n\n$25.00; make check payable to Roanoke Bar Association\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Payment:\n\n\nPayment is expected at the door.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Parking:\n\n\nParking in the Shenandoah Club lot is for club members only.
