They will visit Santa’s Workshop where they will create holiday arts and crafts\, and Santa’s Sack where they can select a small\, special gift to wrap and give to their parents this holiday season. Drawing from the Virginia Rules of Professional Conduct and the ABA Model Rules\, the topics addressed will include: competence\, honesty\, the role of the client in making decisions\, communicating with the client\, communicating with those affiliated with opposing parties\, and threats of criminal sanctions to gain leverage.  Hypotheticals will be used to illustrate. Mr. Kavanaugh received his Bachelor of Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2002 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2006. Kavanaugh was a law clerk for Judge James C. Cacheris. of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia from 2006 to 2007. From 2007 to 2014\, Kavanaugh was an Assistant United States Attorney in the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. Kavanaugh served as an assistant U.S. attorney for the Western District of Virginia from 2014 to 2021. DESCRIPTION:The Senior Shine and Dine Dinner is back!       \nImagine graduating from high school and your family not having the financial means to celebrate this milestone.  Imagine further that you are homeless\, and you may not even have a family.  Many students graduating from Patrick Henry and William Fleming High Schools are in this situation. these students have accomplished so much yet often have no one able to celebrate their graduation. \nThe RBA will provided the decorations\, the catering and assist as the wait staff to provide a special day for these seniors and their guests..  On April 26\, 2023\, a room at Greene Memorial Church will be transformed into a happy and special place to celebrate and on April 27\, 2023\, members of the RBA will serve a catered meal and provide cleanup.
