Law Day Celebration, May 1, 2023
The annual Law Day Celebration was held at The Shenandoah Club on May 1, 2023, and was called to order by President Lori J. Bentley. Victor “Dinny” Skaff, Legislative Chairman, introduced our legislators. This year’s theme was Cornerstones of Democracy: Civics, Civility, and Collaboration. What better way to celebrate than to invite our federal, state, and local legislators from both sides of the aisle to join us and give us an update on the matters currently in the works in Roanoke, Richmond, and Washington. Special thanks to Congressman Ben Cline, Dr. Elda Stanco Downey for Sen. Tim Kaine, Sen. John Edwards, Sen. David Suetterlein, Del. Joe McNamara, Del. Sam Rasoul, Mayor Sherman Lea, and City Councilman Luke Priddy. Thank you to the members of the RVPA who insured a smooth registration process.
