RBA – 101st Annual Meeting, June 9, 2026
President Jon Puvak called the 101st Annual meeting to order which was held at the Shenandoah Club.
Following the announcements, President Puvak turned the meeting over to Devon Munro, Chairman of the Memorials and Resolution Committee. Mr. Munro spoke briefly about Diana M. Perkinson before inviting Deborah Caldwell-Bono to the podium to read the Memorial Resolution honoring Ms. Perkinson.
Mr. Puvak then recognized RLF Chairman, Amy Geddes, who announced the scholarship recipients. Gabriella Stanley who will receive the Jane Glenn Scholarship and a James Kincanon Scholarship. She will attend the William & Mary School of Law. The additional recipient of a James Kincanon scholarships was Nathan Snow who will continue at the University of Richmond School of Law. Ms. Geddes also announced this years grant recipients; the Local Office on Aging and the Rescue Mission.
Jon Puvak presented a donation from the RBA to the RVPA in thanks for their assistance with the monthly luncheons. Accepting the donation on behalf of the RVPA was Marilyn Hall. Mr. Puvak welcomed Justin Simmons up to introduce Jamie Wood, the 2026 Young Lawyer of the Year. The 2026 Frank “Bo” Rogers Lifetime Achievement Award was then presented to George A. “Al” McLean, Jr. by Dinny Skaff, Award Committee Chairman.
Jon Puvak announced the RBA was the recipient of three Awards of Merit which were presented at the Virginia State Bar meeting in June. He read the list of Presidents Volunteer Service recipients for 2025.
Jon Puvak passed the RBA gavel to new president, Dinny Skaff, who then recognized Jon, for his service as president to the RBA.
