RBA March 2017 Luncheon
The meeting was called to order by President Hugh Wellons. John Koehler reminded everyone that volunteers were needed for the Rule of Law Day in Roanoke County on March 23rd. Christen Church spoke on the 11th Annual Legal Food Frenzy and encouraged both firms and solo practitioners to sign up for the event. President-Elect Kevin Holt introduced the guest speaker Michael Friedlander, Director of the Virginia Tech/Carilion Research Institute. Dr. Friedlander spoke on the “Advances in Medical Discovery in Roanoke”. RVSLA members Bernadine Huff and Jennifer Carnes insured a smooth check-in.
